Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! The Boosters are responsible for the organization of registration fees, uniforms, equipment, scheduling, etc. for the St. Mary athletic programs. To offset the ever-rising cost of running each of the athletic programs throughout the year, the Boosters are collecting a $50 participation fee for all student-athletes wishing to participate a sport affiliated with Saint Mary’s School. Regardless of the number of sports your child plays, the cost is a total of $50/student-athlete.
Will I have to pay $50 for each sport that my child plays?
No. Regardless of the number of sports your child plays, the cost is a total of $50/student-athlete. In prior years, only student-athletes who played basketball were required to pay the participation fee.
Does this fee affect how much/little my child plays?
Only if the fee is not received. Please note that this is a "participation fee" is not a "pay-to-play" fee. The participation fee has no bearing on which teams student-athletes are assigned, playing time, or other coaching decisions.
Please take a moment to place a check next to each sport your child will play and your child’s name and grade level below.
How do I pay this fee?
We have two payment options:
1) Checks can be made payable to Saint Mary Boosters and return with your child or children to school.
2) We now offer the option to pay via PayPal on the second page of the registration form (click the button below):
When is this fee due?
Friday, September 30, 2016.
The basketball coaching staff at St. Mary’s is committed to promote Christian values and must always keep the highest standards. The basketball program at St. Mary’s exists to enhance the development of both life and sports skills and teamwork. We recognize that the coaching staff is very significant in the social and physical development of our children and strive to provide a positive experience for all children who participate. Winning is encouraged but should never be above sportsmanship and teaching skills necessary to promote a healthy Christian life. The following are guidelines that the St. Mary’s Boosters have developed to support that policy.
Each coach has selected a practice time and gym. Players are expected to arrive early to practice, but no more than 15 minutes. It is up to each coach as to whether parents/guardians are permitted to stay or simply drop off. At least 2 Virtus-trained adults will be present for each practice or practice will not occur. Parents who are Virtus-trained may be asked to remain in the gym if a coach is running late.
When new schedules are available, we will post them here.
